Most such providers will offer certification of completions or diplomas from their offerings. These are similar to a graduation certificate from any school.
Professional practices such as medicine and law have a further requirement past graduating from a school. They require successful completion of a board examination to practice. Each of the states in the US has independent certification boards for such professions as nurses, doctors, lawyers, general contractors, etc. These are accreditation organizations that set a standard that must be met to practice within their jurisdiction.
